Majora’s Mask 3D vs A Link to the Past 3D
Recently, master of your childhood Shigeru Miyamoto came forward with this quote:
“We haven’t quite decided yet, whether we’re going to do A Link to the Past, because there’s also the possibility of doing a remake of Majora’s Mask. This is something we’ve certainly been talking about and doing a little bit of experimenting with, to figure out which way we’re going to go. We have so many goals right now. We’re always looking at expanding our audience and giving people the opportunity to get their hands on 3DS and see what kind of fun gaming experiences they can have. And now, we’re also tasked with pushing the Wii U. So we have lots of good opportunities in terms of thinking about which Zelda game is going to be best for which purpose.”
So Nintendo is indeed listening to our pleas. However, now they are torn down the middle Civil War-style: Miyamoto wants to revisit A Link to the Past, while director/producer at Nintendo Eiji Aonuma wants to make Majora’s Mask 3D.
And I say…is it too much to ask for both?
This is a question that has plagued me for years. The 80s was the decade for awesome teenagers, from The Breakfast Club to the Ninja Turtles. However, two teens have always battled for the Crown of Cool. So who will it be?
Marty McFly is a badass coming from a long line of slackers. He isn’t the most confident kid on campus, but is always willing to stand up to the school bully or rock out in front of the school. He eventually learns the value of time and family, while also learning how to fix the space-time continuum.
Car of Choice: 1982 DeLorean DMC-12 (with flux capacitor)
Girlfriend: Jennifer Parker
Best Friend: Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown
Nemesis: The Tannen Family
Awesome Outfit: Casual checkered button-up shirt, suspenders, jeans, a pair of Nike shoes with a red swoosh, a jean jacket, and a red “life preserver” bubble vest.
Kick-Ass Musical Moment: Inventing rock-n-roll by playing a heavy rendition of Johnny B. Goode in front of an entire school of ’50s teenagers, including his parents.
Ferris is a no-worries, laid back teen who plays by nobody’s rules but his own. He doesn’t let anyone or anything ruin his good time, even if that means egging on a “snooty” maitre’d or setting up an over-complicated pulley system in his house. Yet he is always trying to help his friends.
Car of Choice: Red Ferrari 250 GT California
Girlfriend: Sloane Peterson
Best Friend: Cameron Frye
Nemesis: Principal Rooney
Awesome Outfit: Grey dress slacks, white T-shirt and tennis shoes, black-and-yellow sweater vest, cream-and-grey leather jacket, “devastatingly handsome.”
Kick-Ass Musical Moment: Commandeering a Von Steuben Day parade float and uniting the entire city of Chicago in an epic “Twist and Shout” singalong.
SO WHO IS THE COOLEST ‘80S TEENAGER?!
